Battery Britain End-of-Year Gala

MISSANG was pleased to take part in the Battery Britain End-of-Year Gala at the Royal Automobile Club this 3rd December 2025. An evening that brought together policymakers, innovators, financiers, and industry leaders shaping the UK’s role in the global energy transition. 

This annual gathering will become a key moment in the calendar for anyone working on the future of batteries, critical minerals, and resilient supply chains.

It was particularly encouraging to see such a strong diplomatic presence from across Africa in London, underscoring the growing strategic importance of UK–Africa partnerships in the global energy transition.

The conversations throughout the evening underscored a central message: the transition to clean energy will be won through collaboration, strategic partnerships, and a commitment to responsible value chains from source to system.

Our CEO, Guy Kioni was honoured to present the award to Benchmark Mineral Intelligence whose international events and market intelligence play a crucial role in aligning industry, investors, and policymakers around both the opportunities and the challenges of the energy transition.

I was also honoured to attend and speak at GIGAAfrica2025 in Marrakech, where Benchmark convened leaders shaping the future of battery materials, energy storage, and resilient supply chains across the African continent and beyond. Events like GIGAAfrica are essential for connecting African opportunities with global demand and for embedding responsible, resilient value chains in emerging BatteryHubs.

Our sincere thanks go to the visionary Richard Taylor and the Battery Britain team for convening such a forward-looking community. Platforms like these provide invaluable opportunities to exchange ideas, build partnerships, initiate deals, and reinforce the vital role of public–private cooperation in strengthening supply chain resilience for the UK and its partners.
